Calculations
- No manual calculations needed: eLog calculates all times automatically from the data entered so that entering new flights is fast and easy. However, times can also be calculated manually.
- eLog takes into consideration a range of times, including blocktime, in dependance of rank or position of the pilot, as well as night times, and suggests these to be saved. Any time that eLog has calculated can be edited to ensure that always the correct times are kept.
- Night time calculations are calculated by using a special algorithm that uses great circle data and taxi times.
- The sunrise/sunset calculations performed by eLog are normally as accurate as the NOAA Improved Sunrise/Sunset Calculation program, which is highly accurate (within one minute) for latitudes less than 72 degrees and for greater latitudes within ten minutes accuracy.
Databases
- eLog contains steady growing databases for aircrafts and airports.
- The airport- and aircraft databases of eLog are permanently updated to ensure that always the most recent data is used. On availability of new data it is immediately inserted in eLog.
Import & exports
- eLog features easy-to-use import & export functions of the logbook as well as all saved events and options for easy backup purposes.
- Imports & exports can be encrypted for enhanced security.

- eLog is able to check your logbook for compliance with legal aspects like the 90-day rule for landings according EU-OPS 1 subpart N 1.1970.
Security
- A RC4 compatible algorithm (with key lengths up to 2048 bit) is used for secure logbook exports on portable devices.
- Various security related functions such as data- and program-integrity checks are used.
Statistics
- The flight logbook can be evaluated in comprehensive statistics. These are broken down into flight times, landings, approaches, flown aircrafts and types, airports, routes and of course PICs the pilot has flown with.
- Graphic statistics are available for times and landings.
System requirements
- A comfortable installer is delivered together with eLog for easy installation & complete and fast deinstallation.
